The project
About MOSCOT
MOSCOT has been making eyewear on the Lower East Side of New York since 1915. Its frames are worn around the world, and its shops are part of the city's history — so its online store has to feel as unmistakably MOSCOT as the yellow signs outside its doors.
The brief
Sell a large, colour-rich catalogue of eyeglasses and sunglasses to customers in many countries, make custom lens tints easy to understand and order, and keep the brand's bold yellow-and-black identity front and centre on every screen — above all on mobile.
How we built the MOSCOT Shopify eyewear store
- Brand-first design system: The signature yellow, black and editorial typography built into reusable Shopify sections, so every campaign launches on-brand without a developer.
- Colour-aware product cards: Swatches on every card switch between frame colours instantly, so shoppers compare finishes without opening each product.
- Customisation made simple: A dedicated Customize journey presents 20+ custom-made tints clearly, turning a complex option into a confident choice.
- Built for a global audience: Country and currency selection with worldwide shipping messaging, so international customers see prices they understand.
Key features of the Shopify eyewear store
- Mega-menu navigation across eyeglasses, sunglasses and collections
- Seasonal collection launches with full-bleed editorial imagery
- Colour swatches and quick add on collection pages
- Product reviews and rich product storytelling
- Shop finder connecting online shoppers with MOSCOT's physical shops
The outcome
MOSCOT now has a Shopify storefront that sells like a modern ecommerce brand and still feels like a century-old New York institution: fast, mobile-first, easy for the team to update with every collection, and ready for customers in every market it ships to.
